30km day

OK...today was tough. 30km in under 6 hours. I changed to my sandals because my heels were complaining.  (My feet often talk to me.) Today they were very vocal for the 1st km. Swapped to sandals and they shut up for 20km.

Very boring pictures today...the route..the climbs...my room...and me enjoying some sun and a Cervesa.

The route was a real mixture today..city streets, villages, long narrow high and busy bridges, paddocks, mountain tracks and MUD. Check out the picture of the mud. It was waist deep in places...thankfully a very large tree hauler had made dry tracks through it all. So careful footwork meant not over the top of the sandals.

By San Estaban there was munitions testing going on ...ground fired into the sky. Amazing to see and surprising how long it took thr sound to arrive.

The last 3km was through eucalyptus forest...overgrown track...just like being at home.

In the hotel we have got german american korean and french...lively dinner conversation.
