It's 0720 sunday morning. I'm waiting for the bus to take me to St Ethelreda's in Fulham. I'm right under the takeoff / landing / holding pattern for one of the airports...about 12 jumbos and bigger so far..about one every minute.
I had a lovely catch up with Gretchen Gordon last night for dinner. Went to a kiwi gourmet burger place opposite earl's court tube station. It was so good to catch up on what she has been doing...what her family are up to etc... As she described her work I couldn't help to feel so proud that Hawke's Bay contributes so much to the world in terms of great people doing such important jobs.
I have been typing this while traveling on the bus..I am now outside the church standing in the sun...and have discovered it was Heathrow flights..right above me here every 30 seconds as they glide into land.
